Lie

Everyday i’d watch you walk by

Everyday i’d continue to lie.

To tell myself, you’re just a friend

And I knew these lies would never end.

To fake a smile

To hurt a while.

Confused at what may be.

So i’d let you in

But not to much

So that you don’t get scared.

I live a life of many things

Very far from the life of kings.

I’m scarred, hit, emotionally bruised

I’m the whole package.

I don’t know what I feel for you

Well actually I do.

Although i’d never admit it

I’ve felt this way for way to long

Afraid that if I told, what we have will be gone.

Because of my fears I may never know

Unaware of what the future may hold.

So everyday, i’ll continue to lie

And feel the way I do, when I watch you walk by.
