It

It

A Poem by J. Lynn

Eyes,
pressing down in my soul,
as the light shines on me,
and the music begins,
silence,
no one speaks a word,
just stares,
to see who is next up,
I walk slowly,
and try to leave my fear behind,
and lost,
who am i to kid,
I'm nervous,
but hey,
in the end,
it'll turn out alright,
so I walk quicker to the light,
and sing,
unaware of my feelings,
and prove my weakness wring,
and I didn't care,
anymore.

I like this, its a simple way of putting your anxiety out there. Not many people could be so honest about it, particularly at your age. Good job. You said a lot in a few words, and those are always the best poems.
