The Dead Zone

The Dead Zone

A Poem by sinNsincerity

I write poems on the daily.

More like every

single moment.

The ones I write

in my dome.

The ones that are

left alone.

The ones that are

forever a slave to

the twilight zone.

The dead zone!

The ghost of every

dead poem I

have ever wrote…

Have no home!

Some poems are better left alone. Especially, "The ones that are
forever a slave to the twilight zone. The dead zone!"
Maybe at a later time they will be worth taking a second look.
Perhaps a new and different meaning. Not in the dead zone anymore. You'll never know unless...
Good job. Keep writing.

SiS, Yeah I save all my pieces that I don't think are good enough to share, call it my Dead Letter Office. Do yourself a favor, though. Every once in awhile go back and read them again; one time I found one that I hated, but saw that if I made a few changes it may be salvageable. That piece turned out to be one of the most popular pieces I've ever done. Ya never know! take care...dan

Now i know at least one term I can give them rather than squiggles.. this has a space and class of it's own, Sin.
Sometimes they make me smile even though I don't remember them or can put them somewhere locked, but I remember how i felt when I came up with them.

And an inspiration.. poem a day! I used to but I think should again do that :)

This is class Sin. I call these orphans. I have many lyric orphans that make me feel guilty for not developing them.

thanks for sharing this my friend. :)

Yes very true, but now I can't remember them...
They're somewhere???
Def can relate as a fellow poet. Many bits of poetry wander like ghosts. "forever a slave to / the twilight zone" great line.

Sometimes those poems can be revived, come alive, brought back to life.
Like zombie poems.

Thank you so much for reading.
Chin up dear author, you may be a long way from home, but you're headed there...
I love the ideea of a dead poem...i suppose nothing we ever right can be claimed alive, though i know it's not true...some words we read that make our hearts beat faster, open a door we never knew was there or simply gift a smile, how can that be dead? Brilliant poetry, outstanding style, i trademark, now i'm sure of it :)
