Reaper's Scythe

Reaper's Scythe

A Poem by R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)
"

A short, dark poem. If your looking for something complex, this isn't it. If you want a simple, fast paced poem, then this is for you.

"

Reaper’s Scythe

The blade of death

Will lay to rest

Your body and soul

In a single breath

A torturers scythe

A blade, a knife

Will glide through flesh

In dead of night

There is no light

Will be no fight

At crack of dawn

You will feel my might

The Reapers Curse

Will smite your rights

Kill you where you stand

And if you see a light

That is far too bright

Know that soon you’ll be drifting free, a kite

Flying through the heavens

Or buried down in depths of hell

Living sorrowfully in constant fright

Because your time on earth will soon be over

Author's Note

This is by no claim an amazing poem, but tell me what you think.

I very seldom reply to reviews, but I promise I read EVERY single one. I look forward to my next review, because it helps me learn. Even if it's just one word, I promise, I will be ecstatic to have the chance to hear what you have to say. Whenever you write something about my poems, or the themes of my poems, or criticize me it is not in vain. I will listen, learn and be thankful.

This is your best poem, jack! Nice! I love it! Perfectly detailing a mythical process of death :)
I love the rhymes and rhythm! The lines blended together smoothly so Ther was no rough spots. And overall, it flowed together nicely.
