Fading into Yesterday

Fading into Yesterday

A Poem by R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)
"

Reads each line from top to bottom, then bottom to top. I wrote this poem months ago, figured I'd revisit it, and edited it a few weeks ago, and here I am now, posting it.

"

I feel alone here

By myself

Always only cold

Fleeting, like summer snow

I do not know

Why the world shows me it’s back

Why does the sky cry bright lights in the black pastures

Why must reality master and muster the people simply to prosper

Lost here, under the stars that dream to dance with the falling leaves like their still 18

A sky that seems the sky looks down on me, but when I look at the sky I see meaning

More than just a ruby studded ceiling, more than just a feeling

Something engaging worth saving in an earth ball revealing the concert hurt on mother earth to only be

Nothing but a drop of bloody humanity in a velvet sea, bleeding, needing to be seen

Travelled gravel, like an old railroad, being free to go enlist in battle with this existence

But soon to be fleeting like the summer snow

Always only cold

 By myself

I feel alone here

But we’re not that far away waiting to fade into yesterday

Author's Note

R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)
I very seldom reply to reviews, but I promise I read EVERY single one. I look forward to my next review because it helps me learn. Even if it's just one word, I promise, I will be ecstatic to have the chance to hear what you have to say. Whenever you write something about my poems, or the themes of my poems, or criticize me it is not in vain. I will listen, learn and be thankful.

Yea..sometimes we feel alone and for some it's everytime. Though we are in a crowd, we feel we are not a part. Honestly it's worst to feel like that, ...I am still struggling with this and the poem is much real to me. I just don't get it why they just turn their backs to us!
Sometimes we just need find a hand to hold in that crowd...but even that's difficult to find.
I truly agree with this poem and I can really think how worst it is when everything turns so cruel. The words are really striking my head. Greatly written.
Good luck!
