Melancholy

Melancholy

A Poem by R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)
"

I was really proud of this poem once. Now I find it to be underwhelming. It's over 6 months old. But I thought I'd share this anyway.

"

I can feel the breath of death on my back

Cracking damnation, like a deterrent whip as my mind slips, the habit of sabbath’s duration, dominating

I lost my mind, literally, not just a figment of speech

Parts and pieces pleading, irredeemable

The serenity of a never-ending reaper’s cleaver

Suffocate on the redemption, medicate your conception

This is all I can hope for, at the bottom of the totem pole

My suffering strengthens me rather than pulls me under

A wannabe zombie

A tragedy family humanity scrambling to mangle the stragglers

What’s wrong with me, who will I go on to be?

In this diseased dreamland, all I need is to hold your hand and understand the moment, the omen, before I turn into the sand on the wind

And leave you behind in clouds of dust, desiccated, crumbling rusted, muster the cluster of thoughts, before my mind’s binding rots, like aged lust, homunculus

Zombie demolition, dominance, wrongs me like hell’s dawning, calming is the spawning, blood running like water, heavy like lead, smells like iron, futilely mining like violin gliding on the symphony of lobotomies

Recover another catastrophe’s empathy

Aquarius territory allegory melancholy

Fungus among us the unsung stuttering tongue tickles the lips and let’s lose mute deafness, epileptic heaven

Regulated epilation designation condemnation

Epidemic epicentre dramatic climax in the ashen glass shattered collateral damage

Ramified by divine humankind, dignified proud, shout it from our mouths, swallow the following wallow unapologetically, magnetic magnum stagnant in the vacuum of space replicated elated equator dedicated deification, elaborating on your safety

Metal words from a mental bird

Feathered wings of beauty in humanity, beings that feel the breeze, and seem to believe

Just breathe, while the wind cascades like waves, raining down solace and grace in pandemonium’s lace, threading every day together

Impersonate hatred

Ejaculate inaugurate

Investigate

Think with your heads rather than your hatred

Yetis tempest excellent

Temple sanctuary

Thimble stitched symbol, biblical cloud aloud conservatory

Superficial missiles obliterate alliteration

Medication proclaimed paradise, nirvana, this metal rain abandoned me

Burned to the third degree in a word sea of all I’ll ever be

The past mashed together like a blood blanket sweater

Competitive like a necklace of breath, emerging from scenic bulimic surgery petri dish

Cleaned under the covers of numbered days wasted away in the sheets of the bay defeated memories, grayscales like chainmail, for a bitter frail soul, a mouthful of two-dimensional resonance, politics in the robotic mind of a live wire

Admire the mist from a distance and persist blissful, like a blood crystal lozenge morsel of cortisol moralized highlighted in the moonshine bristles whimsical and the wind whistles in my ears mere pistol pellets of overpowering devoured dreams to please me, I like my life over easy, not scrambled, sunny side up, not boiled, mortal warrior thrives of the subsidy of particles in the darkness gold overloaded, a podium, a noble home to the smorgasbord, loaded with sodium, high off a skyward sword of pandemonium, grow solely through loneliness, below coated in barbecue, clovers grow overboard, killers go to netherworld, I live in limbo, crippled witness to religious fruition sickened by the oblivion it’s caused, broken jaws, swallow it all, the maw a jigsaw into the dark, embarking unwanted I bellow through the belly of the beast, and rest in excrement, connected to Bethlehem like a lithium battery, obsidian flows from the doors of the basement encasing the placeless, disgracing the faceless

Syncopated saviour sacred

Vigilante militant, prosecution images

Stumbling bumblebee

Ronin renegade

Manakin stragglers

Serenade eternity

Up on melancholy hill

R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)
I very seldom reply to reviews, but I promise I read EVERY single one. I look forward to my next review, because it helps me learn. Even if it's just one word, I promise, I will be ecstatic to have the chance to hear what you have to say. Whenever you write something about my poems, or the themes of my poems, or criticize me it is not in vain. I will listen, learn and be thankful.
