"Undying Desire"

"Undying Desire"

A Poem by Sir_Anonymous
"

I wrote this and "Word of The Wise" while in the hospital after breaking my hand due to punching a wall three times after facing rejection in my junior year of high school.. Not my proudest moment.

"
Bleeding from the utter physical pain and metalized agonizing conclusion you've made.

Hearing her bittersweet name is all you need to make me stop all functionality as I roll the old topic around in my head thinking I should have said something differently instead.

Yet again I shed no tears as I have come to terms with the distraught truth she brought to light as it was a ruthless lesson to learn and yet I now question what it is I exactly had sought to receive.

Perhaps the off chance of a three letter sentence from you to yours truly?

She has only been in my life for two to three years give or take at best and yet her very presence had shaped my appearance to something less rough and more clean cut.

My actions had grown to become more sophisticated, you're the reason I picked up the paper and pen to begin with; finally explored the ol' chrome dome's personal treasure trove.

You're the reason to my less rash personality giving me reason to grow to become something far more... and yet once again my irresponsible irrationality is due to my feelings that I've harbored and grew.

As when it comes to my feelings both self belief and self-esteem are a personal conflict that I have fought with daily.

It is me fighting myself tearing what is left apart.

All in futile desperate attempts to change my heart but once the feeling starts it's difficult to stop the idea of loving you.

For even with my grave emotional wounds that you have inadvertently in sewed the concept is still something I hold close and evermore dear, and even though I fear the truth I absolutely refuse to become swallowed up whole by a lie.

Please darling I must behest you to give me another chance to show you I have more than enough room left to improve to eventually prove my true worth on this desolate paradise people call earth.

1. I read the quotations, and I realize this girl must have really meant a LOT to you.
(Unrequited love isn't fun.)

2. If she didn't put as much effort in, then it wasn't worth it. You could find someone who does put in effort.

I'll be VERY honest.

I have not really had a serious relationship before, and even if I did really crush on someone in that way, I'd do the opposite of what you did.

I would ignore it until it went away, which entails avoiding the person like the plague lol...

(I know it's VERY cowardly, but we all cope with certain things differently.)

But back to your writing, I can tell that this girl was still really precious to you even though she hurt you emotionally.

I can only relate to how much you wish you had another chance at a love that didn't last. Only in my case, it wasn't love of the romantic kind. It happened to be someone who was very close to me and treated me like her daughter.

To me, love is is a great concept to "fall in love with", and I think you did a great job with expressing and communicating the hurt you felt.

In addition to this, I wanted to know if you ever got the chance to try again.

If so, was it just a rebound?

P.S. Despite the fact that I couldn't relate to this piece in so many ways, it was an easier read.

However, I'm not the type of person who wears their heart on the sleeve, and that could have been part of why I couldn't relate to some things.

This is so beautiful and the emotions are overflowing!
I love the second stanza- I think many of us are able to relate to that. I hope you are okay now.
You know you should enter this to the contest I made, if you want. The name is "who are you".
PS. that girl doesn't deserve you...

Realisation is in our hands and another chance is the thing which life gives to all of us. Again the same things which I say to you in your every poem. And I liked many parts of this poem.
