Second summer

Second summer

A Poem by Siv
"

lost love

"

The sun rolled in and swept the sky

we watched it you and I

anticipating as children do

for something bright, alive and new.

We tossed our lovers brerath with sighs

as time again walked by

with no regard for simple fun

it stripped the pavement of the sun.

How cruel our summer had become

its days were left undone

to nights where we spent at last

the lovers tears of a summer past.

The moon is in a separate sky

we watch it you and I

reflected in a frail window

as we await the wind to blow.
