Ring the bell

Ring the bell

A Poem by Siv

You left me a long time ago

why, I hardly know.

Your secrets kept safe

the key is on the wall.

You kiss my face

as you watch me fall.

This empty bed is my friend

yet my enemy too.

Leaving me seems to be

the best you can do.

Just not good enough

I guess you could say.

The harder I try

the more that I stray.

To tell me you love me

that you can not do.

You buy me flowers

as if they were from you.

Don't think you really know me

you never did at all.

If so then why the secrets

do you like to see me fall?

And so my friend I'm done

and tired as all hell.

Give me the rope my dear

and I will ring the bell.
