All these calculations

All this crap

Nothing but irritation

Gosh! I hate maths!

So many formulas

Just can't get in my brain

So many questions

This is crazy; insane!

Text-books with alien words

And seemingly impossible technique

I can't make a head or tail out of it

A way out of this mess, I seek

Hour long lectures

And not a word understood

I'm ready with my calculating sword

But the devilish answer lies under a hood

All my nerdy friends

Like the one reading this

How come you're not doing maths?

Such an interesting subject...how can you miss?

Haha! So you're already done

Such a nerd you are

Had I been a nerd

I'd have shone like a star

Now I'm a senior

And completely lost

All that I ever learnt in maths

I can't remember at any cost

I try my luck sometimes

And manage to get average score

But Damn! This maths

So freaky; such bore

You keep playing with your numbers

And the calculations I always confuse

I'll play with my words

Study math?? I REFUSE!!!

Hehehe...
One of my first humourous poems on writer's cafe. I had a hard time rhyming it all and not changing what I wanted to say though this...I HATE MATHS!!
I have a long history where maths has pulled me back from the top rank...Grr...
Just enhoy and go easy on me...lolz
I wrote this just after doing my math home-work. It's my break-time....^_^

Hahahaa a very humorous poem! I hate maths too. In fact, I don't just hate it, I absolutely abhor it! I'm glad to see another maths hater on here!
The rhyme scheme and the flow are dead perfect. Even most adults can't achieve the accuracy of rhyming like you do! That really is a gift.

Obviously, you should major in English XD

It was wonderful and funny up until the last line (the evil laugh part). I would nix it - the poem has a nice, lilting feel up until the end, but the "*evil laugh* mwahaha" makes the thing feel very juvenile and tips it over the edge a little.

interesting, although you can't say i don't do math since i am in engineering under computer science, hence i don't have anything but logic and math and programming to keep me going. how delirious. it's quite hilarious, love it.

Luckily, I had a choice in highschool: during the last 2 years I dropped maths in favour of German and history... Since I already had decided to study either languages, history or social work... All of those do not require any knowledge of maths ;)
You've described my sentiments exactly... Though I even went a bit further, at one point I refused to study maths in order to get into the classical languages section at my highschool...
Hmm, as an adult, I should be setting a better example here, but your poem evokes the purple head of my former maths teacher, so I just cannot help myself... For those who need maths in their further careers, please ignore my advise!
