Hear the revelry surrounding you

It paves its way into your mind

Inescapable, it has always been

Throw open your windows

Throw open the blinds of your eyes

And watch the wondrous nature perform

One of its many boisterous feats

Feel the billows of the mighty wind

As it embraces you tight

And leaves you, fluttering

Heed the path it follows

Unadulterated, limitless debauchery

Feel the loss of your significance

As you face the grand arrival of the storm

Look beyond the negatory illusion

It grants and recants the breath of life

Palliates the wounded earth

And leaves with its exalted pride

With all its strength nebulized

And you question yourself

If man is really that mighty

I thank Poetic Beauty for making yet another challenge to push my writing skills further. This is definitely a breakthrough concerning my writer's block. As usual, title seems a bit ill-fitted. Suggestions are welcome.
Thank you for reading. :)

Like its title this piece in itself is "POWERFUL" and the intensity seem to increase as the lines flowed. Lovely theme and the lines

As you face the grand arrival of the storm
Look beyond the negatory illusion
It grants and recants the breath of life
Palliates the wounded earth
And leaves with its exalted pride
With all its strength nebulized
And you question yourself

Really do stand out to me as the last line sealed it all up. Thumb up??? No! Double thumbs up, great piece.

Man's believe he hold the strength over all things. He does not. Mother nature can take out a city in seconds. I pray daily man become wise and be kind to nature. We need her more then she needs us. A powerful poem that open the door to logical questions. A outstanding poem.

a righteous call - a sense of urgency - the howl begins - intense and subtle all throughout

I enjoyed this poem greatly. I awoke this morning to the sound of strong thunder and the kiss of a gentle, yet increasing rain. I sat and sipped coffee watching the storm siege the sky and ambush the mountains - A rainbow replied to the beckoning of the rising sun - it was magical and stunning. This poem was the icing on the cake for the experience. Well done.

This is a great poem and you have made us look at our lives in a different way. This to me speaks more of our soul that is trapped inside the flesh rather than our mortal being that is flesh and blood. You have used the word well and captured some great thoughts and images in this piece.
