Empty

Empty

A Poem by TheSleeplessKnight
"

waiting for her

"
empty
a recycled concept
many writers venture into the empty feeling in the heart of man
but which truly understand?
which know that emptiness is not anxious or sad
not wishful or woeful
it does not regret
nor does it leave at the touch of a hand

it only yearns
it wants
longs for one smile of wavering lips
waits for the ring of giggling laughter
a thirst only quenched by a walk in vanilla light with her
empty is patient
empty is forever
empty is her
