The Artist and the Poet

The Artist and the Poet

A Poem by Evan Scott
"

Hope this makes you laugh.

"

An artist paints to capture a frame
A phrase that can't be put to name.
Funny, I find it super lame.
A poet can't paint. What a shame.

If my poetry can't paint then it can surely fit
Into your head, your mind, where I hope it sits
I can't even sum up this little bit
So much for a picture, I f*****g quit

A writer who can draw and write. A lucky person. A writer who can sing. Very lucky. But words do have power. Few are multi-talented in our world. Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen. Can sing their words. Art is poetry for the eyes. Thank you Evan for sharing the poetry. Made me think tonight.

Ha! Tough to paint with words, that's for sure!
Fun poem.
