Hurts

Hurts

A Poem by Brooklyn

It was horrible.
You weren't accepted.
Into your own family.
They veto your choices.
Even if they're never in your life.
They're in the one part of your life.
That is yours.
They broke your walls.
They cut you down.
They threw you into unwantedness.
Your own family.
It hurts to know.
They will never be there when it's needed.
They're there to push you down.
To HURT you.
To KILL you.
To MAKE you drown in fear and loss.
Your own family.
has killed you"
