Parent and Child

Parent and Child

A Poem by Soma-ko
"

Love and Lust, needs and wants, Heart and Mind; which will you succumb to?

"

My heart screams at my mind,

While my mind chastises my heart.

Love and lust are all the same

To my heart.

But my mind sees the difference.

My heart craves the touch of man,

It lusts for something more.

My mind understands this urge,

For it craves it as well.

However, my mind restrains my heart,

Knowing the pain the future holds.

Knowing the despair the greed breeds.

Knowing the tears yet to be shed.

But the heart cares not.

Fighting my mind in an interminable turmoil,

Enervating it piece by piece,

I lose control over myself,

Entertaining my carnal desires.
