Living My Dream

I started out with nothing but a hope and a prayer
Hoping someone else will see what I've always known is there
A little voice that will not be silenced, no matter who's around
A little voice reaching to the sky, just waiting to be found

When I got the call, I wasn't sure that it was real
Overwhelmed with emotion, I wasn't sure what I should feel
Excitement, happiness, sadness, too, for what I'd have to leave
Thinking about what I'd have to give up to fulfill my destiny

Twenty million people or twenty thousand, I get overwhelmed
I'm not sure I would have ended up here if I'd been at the helm
But I am only a passenger, I'm just along for the ride
Passing the time by singing these lines with the little voice inside

I am living my dream
It's different than it always seemed
I will take it all in stride
As I hang on tightly to this ride
I'm backed by such a wonderful team
And I am living my dream

I am not quite sure where I will go from here
But I can do anything if I don't give in to fear
I will overcome any obstacle life may throw my way
