Choices

There is so much pain and suffering in this world

and I only wanted something beautiful to believe in 

I look around and all I see is darkness

and I only wanted your light to bathe in 

I try to move around but all I feel is coldness

and I only needed your warmth to save me

I try to go to sleep but all I hear are your words

and all I ever wanted was to love you 

I've prayed to God for the perfect words to bring you back to me

to keep you in my life 

but all you ever wanted was to leave me

I said I'd never walk away and

that I'd love you forever 

but this is the only choice you ever gave me

Sometimes however hard you try you have to accept that a relationship is going nowhere. It hurts like hell but it takes courage to walk away. You expressed your emotions well here.
