cold frightful May

cold frightful May

A Poem by Somnium
"

Grief in May

"
I will welcome grief today
And hold it, hug it, kiss it.
may I sleep of it
may I die of it
Like my beloved did.
In this cold, frightful May.

Let my memory wander
In the depths of solitude.
may I laugh of it
may I cry of it
Like my faint smile.
In this cold, frightful May.

The repetition is very powerful. The heart ache palpable, without the poem being over the top.
Are you interested in small suggestions?
