flyingA Poem by Candice Reedwrote this back in 2002I go up, down, Side to side; Any which way I please. I ride the skies, and Feel the wind as it Goes beneath my wings. I see the mountains That are far below, And the tiny Toy-like cars Upon the streets. I am above it all. The sky is my domain. Nothing bothers me. Here, there are no worries, No fears. Here, I rule. I am a goddess Of the heavens, Watch me soar. Higher than the dragons fly, Close enough to touch The night’s starry sky. Being able to slice Through clouds Like soft butter. I am Freedoms middle name. Nothing can bring me down. Nothing can stop me. You can't have what You can't touch. I am higher than the rest I’m Invincible, Unstoppable. And no-one can catch me, Nor tame my soul. © 2016 Candice Reed |
