UNFETTERED

UNFETTERED

A Poem by DarkPoet

UNFETTERED

I was raised by the hands of perfection

Trained to be right in every decision

Needs or wants didn't matter

But strict conformity to laws and order

Groomed to be a people pleaser

Of dust and dirt i was the packer

Not a single consideration for me

Not to be heard but slightly seen

I dream of a day when i will find my voice
How it will be and feel right to make MY own choices

When of opinions and expectations i wouldn't be bothered

And breathe,live life UNFETTERED!

The oddest one amongst my peers

Always made to give up my chair

I learnt to hide my thoughts and feelings

To dare to speak will be grave sinning

It is unacceptable to go against the religion

Except on possession by demons in legion

Still i am a human prone to imperfections

Deeply troubled by unanswered questions
