One teardrop

One teardrop

A Poem by SoulWriter

In world full of people,

There was this one little girl.

She smiled and laughed,

She was happy in her own world.

In one day of her life,

She started crying.

There was this one little tear,

That wasn't shed needlessly.

It waited for years,

To be left out.

However it needed special moment,

So that it would last in girls memories.

After ten years,

It finally happened.

The tear was set free,

Where it could see the sun.

It fell on the mothers cheek,

That always so tenderly,

Protected this little girl.

And this happy tear was the last,

That her mother saw...

This beautiful, so sweet and cute. There is a gracefully touch to this poem, very emotional!

A tender sadness and a melancholy that surrounds the writing. As if the scene of an old painting with sombre colours trying to depict something that needs sadness in order to sustain itself. Surrounded by the embrace of motherly love but not the one from the lioness which says to the cubs "off you go" go and live and discover the world but more like Mary embracing te little child Jesus as a gesture. The tear at this point at risk from suffering metamorphosis as no more happyness or sadness can bound it. But the scene ends with a view into death? Maybe not sure that's just they way it came to me. It would explain why neither feeling could embrace the child. Fate had interceded and there was nothing else that could be done.

Intriguing scene.

Beyond emotion really

Thankyou for your invite.

Thank you for your review :)
Awww... teardrops never look good on bright faces. They're only meant to rolled down the land of heaven ... to get fallen on the hearts. Yes, the world's full of people--People having no humanity to others but, love's always there... that should be treated right. And.. for that, poetry's enough to speak out through words.. isn't it? Very beautiful and so emotional poetry you come up with. Good one! ;)

By the way, don't forget to mail me as you finish up with that new one. Okay? ;)
This is so emotional. You write beautifully :)
"In world full of people,

I loved these lines! Tells that the girl was not really affected by this world full of people. She's carefree :)
And you really expressed nicely how much a tear means. A single important tear waiting to be shed. Great and different concept.
Keep writing :)

This one has a child-like essence to it that I very much enjoy. I also write in the free form, leaving out all of the poetic formalities. I appreciate the cacophony of emotion that wells up.
