A Silent Pain

Maybe someone can relate?

She fills a room with a dull light, 

I see a sadness a deep ache that burns within as a fire blazing across the night sky,

I only wish to help her put the fire to rest,

 She smiles as if she has too,

 Others may not notice,

 If you look closely enough you can see the pain hidden in her eye's,

 A pain in which burns to be free,

  A pain that aches to be healed,

 A longing for something other than a show,

Though she might not see it,

 That pain will eventually tear a person apart if nothing is done if the pain in her eye's is too well hidden by a smile practiced in front of a mirror,

We all hide behind a mask and are afraid of taking it off for allowing people to really see "us" and know "us" as we are. We feel that faking our emotions are the best to make people not worry and to keep our secrets hidden. No one can help us unless we want help and in the end, no matter what we decide, it is always our decision. No matter what anyone wants or thinks, the outcome of our lives and paths is always up to us.
