Good Morning

the beat of life still,
another day.
other situations, but
I am.
much can be denied, but
I am.
footpaths,
stepping stones, but
I am.

a spirit
just to be,
my road,
others, but
my road ahead.

'I walked once,
I'll do it again.'

day by day,
all in this moment.

transfers,
know the bad to
appreciate the good,
my laps,
every step, but
the big picture,
toward my
destination.

journey,
days gone by,
footprints,
mine, but others.

an earlier time,
not as it is,
a place far away, but
another step,
another lap,
another day.

my tomorrows?

tracks made, yet
tracks to follow,
a light shines,
another day
drawing me on.

you seem to be laying out a path for life, day by day, slowly....with a destination in mind....your footprint of your journey, another step,another day, "tracks to follow".. which keeps you going and going...."Drawing me on"..... Nice work!

Thanks Betty. Being disabled and coming out of Stroke recovery, I just thought of the things that keep me going.
I think of all the medical conditions that beset us in this human life, and of the things in my life and yet, I am.
