Columbine

Columbine

A Poem by Spiritwomyn
"

a powerful experience

"

One day in a meadow at the base of a giant mountain, I found a flower so blue.

I picked it and took it back to my cabin and put it on my window sill.

Everyday the wind blew, everyday the sun shone and every day the flower grew.

Then one day I awoke and found you. The flower was gone, the glass was empty, you sat on the floor in a puddle.

Did I give birth to you?

Your eyes sparkle like the sunshine, teardrops like the dew.

Tiny fingers like velvety soft petals.

yes, my heart gave birth to you.

You laugh , you cry, you jump for joy, soon you will tak and I will ay goodbye to you and hello to whom you become.
