Nascent

when i bathed in the light

of the love we had together

i was beautiful

i live in the shadows now

shadows hold their own

beauty though, don't they?

softly filtering, gently caressing.

i am nascent, creating myself

again, and again, and again...

each time so different

from the last one, carved

harder, darker, wiser

still beautiful

beauty though, don't they?" I would answer, "yes." Cool, and hidden away in solitude observing and learning how truly beautiful you are just by being you. Sometimes we have to try on a lot of "me"s before we know which one fits just right.

. i think that you will find your core ... and then your soul will just glow and glow and glow ... never to fade again ... yes, it's painful to be a shadow ... but if you truly live the part ... and then transcend it ... you'll never have to go through it again ... at least, that's what i've found out ...
