Baby Doll, won't you do anoter dance for me?

Inspired by "My Grendel~ A Poem by Selene"

"

Within the soul of her

lived the manifestation of man

Baby Doll thought, alone in the blackness of her heart

chained, imprisoned by laws tainted with discrimination

hatred and fear blackened in color

covered her walls that imprisoned her

since birth

Stricken spiritually of all blessings, deserved

condemned by his God to be man’s play thing

a toy, he stroked his forced Dominance upon her

restricted, slain, blamed condemned a slave by gender

knees broken, blackened, shattered, bowed in disgrace

her mouth sewn closed by his need for pleasure

his seed spilled, swirled around her jaded tongue

she pretends to swallow his white blood

with discontent

drunken on self fulfilled prophecy

glutton of perceived purity

“ugly w***e!”, she says,  peering into his soul

“S**t!”, Her finger points into his heart

Baby Doll purrs and dances

in circles around man’s eyes of desire

inflamed by ripped fabrics

soiled in mud, rusted over time

irritant, reminder of what was once love

her flesh protects her from his truth

blinds him with lines of perfection

he never sees her truth of deception

through the weather worn umbrella

of destruction

gaze into your future

She moves with intent deceiver with intelligence

grace covered premeditated planned thoughts of revenge

with guard down he lets his slave in close

he can feel her strings of control

plucked by fingers of need

his greed to be reverend king of his domain

Baby Doll removes her mask of beauty and peace

reveals her true nature and reason for being

as her Master’s eye follows her manicured image

he ignores her true face scarred, ripped, torn

death a thousand times over

empty of love, forgive never

vengeance will never taste this sweet

her umbrella tip punctured his throat

blood flood back to the clay of life

she spits his acid back into his mouth

Baby Doll giggled at his suffering

her amusement, her rite of passage

a slow death for the wicked

his type un-worthy to be even

her slave

Baby Doll sits and waits

for the next man to enter her trap of

make believe innocence and harmless love

“Come play with me; let me take you to another world”

She says, licking her ruby lips with her serpent tongue

Oh wow, seductive, revengeful, grotesque but beautiful. Fantastic imagery! Fantastic story! So much could be said about this..As far as the woman depicted as a "slave" taking revenge on the man that hurts her and the mask that she wears. Society enslaved women for many years. Even women today still struggle from discrimination, by some men who see women this way. In a way alot of women are still "enslaved" by images and lies of beauty. This woman will forever be angry on the injustices that she has been delt. This is phenomenal.

Wow this is a deep write that has many layers to it. The last part of this poem reminds me of a time in my life only the genders are reversed for me. This poem makes me think of forced sexual contact but that is only the last two lines that remind me of that. The rest of this poem makes me think of the first time someone is introduced to something sexually. The person likes it but feels guilty for enjoying the pleasure they get from it for society says that is not love that is perverse. Of course I have my limitations as all of us do, but sometimes we put too much pressure on what is right and wrong in the sexual world. Many don't understand. Many never will. This poem has a dark side to it but it also has another side that I can't quite place. I love the imagery and the details. I can see this woman toying with this man pulling his strings in the direction she wants him to go only to release him because he isn't worth her time. It also makes me think someone has made her the way she is and is seeking revenge on every man she comes in contact with. This is well penned and woven with intricate meaning most of which I am sure I have NOT picked up on.

If this was inspired by the picture, then you captured its spirit in a unique and beautiful way. The subjugation of woman creating a vengeful assassin is sad and frightening. Kudos, great write.
