#19 My dear

#19 My dear

A Poem by Atlas Jones
"

My first poem that's really polished at all. The first one I felt was any good. Of course, it's also a love poem, so it has its flaws (definitely). All that being said any critique is welcome.

"

My dear,My dear, that is what I hear

When I look into my future and wonder into further years

I don’t necessarily think of them as a lady or a gentleman

I just see my dear and that is what I hear back

I love my dear and they love me

And that feels like perfect bliss ringing in my ears

My dear, my love, my darling, never in tears

With a beautiful or handsome smile that calms my fears

The woman whose hair smells like roses

And whose eyes hold oceans in them

The man bold as me

with the same great respect for me that I would give to him

My dear,my love, my darling, no longer do I fear but hope

That if I ever meet you I will feel it without words or some big expectation

That I may know love as sweet as yours

Even if my feelings about myself are unsure that you will love me just the same

As I would you, with the understanding that understanding isn’t everything
