The sounds of a battlefield echo around me

A body crashes into me

'This isnt how I die' I mutter as I push the body away.

'The boat is taking on water' yells the captain.

'Grab a bucket' screams another man

'This isn't how I die' I mutter as I steal into a life boat

'The cancer has spread' says the doctor,

My wife asks 'how long does he have left?'

'This isn't how I die' I mutter as I run away before I could hear the answer.

The first man dies by an arrow through the heart.

The second by starvation.

The third by the cancer he couldn't escape from.
