Emergency Exits

Emergency Exits

A Poem by Steven Pottle

Where are the windows
Where are the doors
Is there ever gonna be a soft landing
Will the walls ever stop throbbing

One little half of pleasure
In between life and all it’s lows and falls
So will you fly with me
Are you angel, alien or owl…

I swallow a harsh pill difficult to take down
Now I’m pacing the place looking for the way out.

Hm. I like this. It's very good. I do wish it was a bit longer though. It seems to just aburptly end and it's rather depressing. Even though it's short, it's still really good. Nice job.
