Metamorphosis

Metamorphosis

A Poem by Matthew D. Ford

Previous Version
This is a previous version of Metamorphosis.

As if I was flying high in the skies
As if I could see the Earth below me like God up above
A passionate inquest I have desided to journey upon
Fantastical, it seems, to be above all the rest

Not a bloody thing can stop me
Because I have overcome the low
The low sense of feeling
That I had from head to toe

Down and out
Beaten, broken, only to look upon
This second chance I have in life
To see the bridge to life ahead

Belligerent as it seems
That I have been destroyed
Demented, provoked
But I see myself as free

I am meek
I feel alive

Because I have had an Epiphany...

...A Metamorphosis

this is well written! I like the idea - the metamorphosis - an emotional one perhaps stepping out of skin or chrysalis into a new one - the second chance! (tiny spelling mistake - desided to decided - and perfect!!) nice! I liked it - full marks!

I know anger, it's not a good feeling. I like this poem, good job.
