The Meaning of Life

I will google the meaning of life

and it will direct me to a wikipedia source

I will also find “themeaningoflife.org”

and I will cite these documents like literature

I will assume that texting is the best form of communication

and I will live by it

I will lose interest in faces and the feeling of hands on me

I will photoshop my identity

so it looks like I want it to

I will not see people as people

but as a rating system

currency, a picture of what I have to give

My sobs will give voice to the muted Dr. Phil episode about pain

I will eat my feelings

I will drink my feelings

I will touch my feelings

and make them explode with a premature and short-lived high

I will close my eyes and pretend I’m kissing someone else

and I will tell the online community about it

I wont know who it is I’m pretending to kiss

because I don’t know anybody

I will live in the year 2008

I will think I am special

I will never know if I am

I will search and search and find nothing.
