![]() (5) New GenerationA Chapter by Super AyyeGypsy's POV We walked towards the McClellan's, everyone eyed us curiously we had never gone up towards anyone, ever. I felt bored; this 'vacation' was going to start as soon as we spoke to the top General's children. They had their backs to us facing the bay next to our school. When we were 5 feet away from them we stopped. Everyone’s eyes were on us now; they felt our presence and turned. The girl with green eyes raised an eyebrow. “Can we help you?” She asked. “Are you the McClellan’s?” Jeremy asked. The McClellan boy cocked his head. “Yeah.” Jeremy raised the manila envelope. “We need to talk…privately.” The McClellan’s looked at each other. “Follow us.” Jeremy spoke when they didn’t answer. We turned on our heels and started walking, I stayed put and so did Anthony. This ‘vacation’ had started so that means that it didn’t matter if we were in school, we still had to protect these people. They didn’t move. “Get going, we don’t have all day.” Anthony spoke up, looking around for anything suspicious. The McClellan’s frowned and did as they were told. I looked around and spotted Jeremy going down the steps to the football field. They walked, quietly not saying one word. It was before we saw a girl coming up to the McClellan girl with green eyes, she had an angry look. She raised her fist in the air, and was about to swing when Anthony caught her arm. “I’d keep your hands to yourself if you don’t want to end up with a broken arm.” He said calmly but in a bored tone. The girl let out a growl. “Stay out of my way, I don’t care how much girls think you’re hot, I’m going to ruin the pretty little face of yours.” Anthony looked at her blankly. “Stay away from her.” He said. He let go of her arm. “Walk.” He turned to look at the McClellan’s, the girl looked gave him a deadly glare. I stood behind my brother facing the girl. “Don’t start getting any ideas, because unlike my brother I’ll break both your arms and legs.” She didn’t move. “How can you? It’s not like you know the right places to snap my bones.” I looked at her and without warning grabbed her elbow putting my hand in the right place to feel the weakest part of the bone, I applied pressure to the bone. She let out a scream and tried to move away from me. “Still think I don’t know?” I said giving her a blank look. She shook her head. “Please let me go,” she said desperately. I pointed behind me. “Get close to her or the other two…” I didn’t finish and applied pressure to her elbow. She let out another scream. “I promise I won’t get close to them.” “Good.” I said and let go of her elbow. She rubbed her elbow and gave me frightened look. “Freak.” She said before running off. I looked after her, everyone was staring at us. They were whispering to one another, the girl went up to the teacher and pointed towards us; she was holding on to her elbow and was crying. How pathetic can she be? The teacher looked at us and nodded. She started walking towards us.
Anthony’s POV I watched as the teacher walked towards us, she looked a bit annoyed. “What are the chances of trying to get out of detention?” Gypsy asked looking straight at the teacher. “I don’t know, there about a 75% chance if the First General came and gave us an excuse.” I said looking at the McClellan’s. They looked pretty surprised with what Gypsy did, who wouldn’t? We’ve stayed to ourselves, never talked to anyone. “Whatever she says do not say or do anything stupid…” I was caught off short when my phone rang. I didn’t look at the color I.D. “Yes?” I said. “Anthony, send me Samantha McClellan,” Jeremy’s voice said from the other line. “Alright.” I hung up, and looked at the girl with frizzy hair and glasses. “Jeremy wants you with him now.” She frowned. “Why?” I gave her a blank look. “Don’t ask and just go, before you get in trouble as well.” Her eyes widened and she quickly turned to leave. “Hold it!” Shouted the teacher jogging towards us. She was about to stop. “Don’t stop, move it.” I hissed. She left running. “Why did she leave?” The teacher asked when she reached us. “She had nothing to do with this situation.” I spoke. The teacher raised an eyebrow. “Really, and speaking of situation why did you threaten Daisy?” She asked crossing her arms. “If she hadn’t come up to them then no threatening would have happened.” Gypsy spoke. “Oh I understand, you’re the new generation, I see.” She said with a knowing look. “Where are your dog tags? I took out my dog tags. “Right here ma’am.” She looked at them and uncrossed her arms. “Corporals I expect less violent with teenagers who aren’t like you.” “Yes ma’am.” We said in unison. She nodded once and walked away. The P.E. teacher was a Staff Sergeant, she was undercover taking care of us, and she didn’t know who it was until right now. We looked at the remaining McClellan’s we signaled them to keep walking with us. When we reached the steps we saw the McClellan girl running and Jeremy taking off after her.
Jeremy’s POV The McClellan girl ran down the stairs, I was at the bottom of the steps. She was reaching the bottom when she tripped and started to fall; she let out a gasp and put her hands in front of her to catch her fall. I caught her before she hit the floor. “You should watch your step.” I said in a bored tone. I could feel her heart beat. “Thanks, I will.” She said breathlessly. She fixed herself and looked up at me. “Uh why do you want me?” She asked she then made a weird face. “Ok, that sounded wrong, why did you ask for me?” I looked at her. “I had to keep you close.” I answered. “Keep me close, why?” She asked. “It’s my duty,” I answered pulling out my dog tags. “I’m one of the new generations.” Her eyes went wide and took a step away from me tripping on the step and landed on the stair. “N-new Generation?” She asked frightened. I nodded and then narrowed my eyes at her. “Why are you suddenly afraid?” I asked. She shook her head. “No reason at all, I just-I…” she didn’t finish. She got up from the steps and walked around me; I turned and took her by the arm. “What do you know about us?” I asked. She tried shaking me off. “I don’t know anything.” She said a frightened look on her face. “I know nothing, I swear.” I narrowed my eyes and stepped towards her, my body towering over her small frame. “Liar, you know something, what is it?” I hissed. She flinched. “I know nothing!” She shouted pushing with her small hands. I let go of her and she took off running across the football field, I gave her a 3 minute start. When the 3 minutes were up I ran after her. She knew something and was denying it, she was afraid. When I reached her she was running out of the school’s back gate. I grabbed her forearm and spun her around. “You know something.” I said coldly. “What is it?” “I know nothing, let go please.” She pleaded while trying to get out of my grip. I pulled her towards me and with both arms held on to her. “I’m not stupid Ms. McClellan tell me what you know, or I swear I will let you get killed.” I whispered in her ear. She looked at me, and shook her head. “All I know is that you’re a bunch of teenagers like me who were trained since birth to be heartless, that’s all I swear.” She said fighting against my grip tears coming to her eyes. “If that was all you knew then why did you run?” I asked, looking at her straight in the eye. “I-I, uh, I…” She stammered. My phone vibrated before she could stammer anymore, I didn’t let go of her and answered it without looking at the caller I.D. “Yes?” “Corporal I expect you to take your hands off my daughter.” Boomed the voice of the General of the Army. © 2012 Super AyyeAuthor's Note
