TIN MAN COWBOY

He’s a tin man cowboy on a cast iron steed

Lost in the tall grass, lost in the choke weed

An inverted funnel made out of tin

Let’s thoughts escape freely, few are let in

A rusted tub body, no heart inside

No savior in Oz, since the wizard has died

Dryer vent arms, angled duct work for legs

Attached quite loosely with galvanized pegs

Riding in circles, one hand waves in fear

Retracing his tracks, unable to steer

His journey to nowhere starts once again

A destination, he’s already been

"An inverted funnel made out of tin/Let’s thoughts escape freely, few are let in" I adore this line. You have depicted a very sad fate for just a lonely cowboy, but it is almost whimsical.
