Fire

Fire

A Poem by Suzanne O'Brien

I didn’t realise marshmallows could taste this good

Having been stuck on the end of a stick.

But the caramel and the sweet smell

Filled my mouth with a taste so swell.

The fire too melts me into you

And I become all gooey inside.

I will you to take a bight,

Grab my hand and hold me tight.

The flames grow rapidly like my desire

And I begin to wonder,

as we stare deeper and deeper into the fire,

how long it will take for our love to transpire.

small part of a longer poem. Does the structure work well?

A very sensuous poem here, full of sensuous imagery. Don't let that fire flare up too quickly. It can burn you.
