Death is not our enemy.

Death is not our enemy.

A Poem by Simba Gana

Why do we mourn for the dead?
Why do we refuse to embrace,
What has long been accepted as standard practise for the living?

If there is anything to learn,
In these short moments breathing on
This marked place,
It is that the only place we are headed is the grave.
This is a journey whose destination,
Is the same for all.
You can run but you certainly can not hide.
You can cheat but only to delay the inevitable.

Fool yourselves all you want,no pit so deep or mountain so high can distance you enough from the grasp of dear death.
Count it all vanity and gasping for the air,
til we accept the transparent truth.

Death is our master, conquerer and lord of everything that lives,at least in our realm.
Religion gives us hope as creatures of a higher intellect and faith.
We refuse to accept the fate of the grave as final.
There has to be life after this death.
Reincarnation, ressuration or something to salvage something of our current existence.
But who or what would not want to live again,
ln a lesser or preferably greater form.
Whatever the aftermath can offer, you will take the deal.

Death is not our enemy, death is part of us.we carry it with us each day and night.
We die a little with each breath,
Today you are young and too soon you are old.
The blossoming flower must know, it will soon lose its radiance, wither and die.

The springing dear in the wild,is ever
Wary, each day may be its last, for
Beasts and man are ever ready to steal its beauty.
To the beasts and mankind l say, death also patiently waits in the shadows for you. That is the beauty of all life.

Death is not our enemy, death is the balance of all existence.

Plants and animals,
The meek and the proud,
The poorest and the filthy rich, the wisest along with the archingly foolish.
The hoodlums, the devious, the nefarious along with the devine,
Embrace what makes us all even,
Death.
