Price of medusa

Price of medusa

A Poem by Simba Gana

There is only one tale l can tell to be true,
And only one woman it would have been wise not to take a glance.
All was lost when l gazed at you,
And hoped to win your stone cold heart.
Yours was the treacherous smile of judhas,
Your kiss only sealed my fate.

Why don't we learn from Adam,
All Eve can do is connive with the devil,
And lure poor man to his demise.

From my first word the odds began racing against me,
Your eyes made me run amok like a madman with a royal seal.
The downward descend became ever transparent,
For the forces at play where beyond my human control,
Such diablerie had to have been conjured from hell itself.

When they sang about Londan burning, they must have signified me.
The collossial flames that burned within consumed me.

I should have been blind to your dazzling charms,
Run from your malicious magnificence,
But it could not be,
For my legs were tied by the pipers song you played from your enchanted lips.
All that gleams or glitters is not gold,l only found out too late,
Your serpent tongue had already poisoned this lake.

Let mine be a lesson,
To those of you who can not lend a blind eye,
lest it rests upon one of the many medusa's of this world,
Their price is heavy for you will be turned to stone.

Yours Samson the
