Her Mona Lisa Smile

Her Mona Lisa Smile

A Poem by SyberRose
"

Lauri Blank/Artist

"

Enchanted by her Mona Lisa smile,

and softness of her creamy fresco skin.

The whirlpool of her baby blues

seduced like a bow to a violin.

She tortured him in the bedroom of her eyes.

discreetly glanced at him and looked away.

While the moon undressed their pleasures

intoxicated by violet bouquet.

His fingers caressed elderberry hair,

and tasted the sweet vineyard of her lips.

He succumbed to the bedroom of her eyes,

surrendering to orchards of paradise.

What a discreet and lovely way to describe a beautiful woman and a man's infatuation. Your metaphors are simple, making the reading easy, and the flow of the poem is unbroken. Sometimes poets try to incorporate metaphors and double-meanings that tamper with the rhythm of their work.

I'd have to say that my favorite stanza is the first, because you set the scene without just dully listing what is happening. You showed us this lady in a way that is unique and interesting.

I'm not much of a poetry reviewer, so I do not have much more to say. Your grammar and spelling is flawless. Great write.
