Dear Knight(Sonnet)

Dear Knight(Sonnet)

A Poem by SyberRose
"

Painting by Fine Art Tapestries Leighton's Godspeed Maiden Knight

"
My lips are lonely without thee dear knight
'Tis not thine enemy that I doth fear,
Whilst mine heart is weary by candlelight
Thy bones ache with each and every tear.

Without thee my moistened lips shall wither
Thus; a mere thorn without a crimson rose,
Henceforth, my beloved, do come hither
Before sweet petals of thy heart dost close.

My knight with sword, shining armour and blood
In pale moonlight my ears hearest thou cries,
Thee lips bid adieu, sweet kiss of rosebuds
Thou art now but a bright star in thine eyes.

Thy feathered quill upon red parchment stains,
Teardrops and blood ink flow whilst moonlight wanes.

Oh I see..well I never thought about that...interesting.
This is one of the best pieces I have read since I have been here. Though I'm new, nut I can tell this is no match to any other poem. I loved it so much that I read it again and again... you are really talented. This piece is amazing.

"My knight with sword, shining armour and blood
In pale moonlight my ears hearest thou cries,
Thee lips bid adieu, sweet kiss of rosebuds
Thou art now but a bright star in thine eyes."

I am out of words here. Keep that pen moving, all the best. :)

Ah, old English. I believe the last thing I read in old English was Macbeth, and that was a year ago... The poem sounds very eloquent and smooth which is why I absolutely loved this read. How you have a special and unique feel of romance is something you utilize so well. Great job, and much enjoyed. :)

the knight is the poet..and his sword the pen...

i would never even attempt this Old English style...and you do it so so well.

it is like you become this poet from a past age.

nicely done.
