He wanted the best of both worlds, but I'm a god damn galaxy. 

Together we could have been a universe.

Instead he chose a star that was easily grabbed. But like all stars she'll burn so bright she destroys herself,

 leaving him with no light.

And while he fumbles in the darkness he'll see the twinkles of the constellations I left behind.

Very thoughtful concept, I loved the metaphors you have used here... The speaker and the person she loved could have made a beautiful world of their own, but sadly that person went for a star (outside beauty of another girl) without realizing that stars burn with fire... Very cleverly done... We often witness this to happen in our everyday life, people going for the things by only admitting their outside beauty...

Ah! Lovely. As Dhiman has already pointed out, you have made good use of metaphors. Looks never make a person, disposition does. Your true love was overlooked and the good looks of some other girl- who later betrays- were taken notice of. Well-written. Keep writing.
