"Regurgitate"

"Regurgitate"

A Poem by Rain Kettle

I play the keyboard like Ray Charles
And I try to look like my best
As I smack down all the letters on the screen
I try to simulate the rest

But as I observe the top dogs
I see their patterns and their words
Form parrot harmonies in repetition
A single room with many doors

If it has the semblance of a planned work
We'll dig in with our dinner forks
Like musings purposefully obscene
People in the end decide
If it lives, if it dies
What it's worth, what is profane
Who is good, who is bad
Who moves on, Who remains

About
I'm a kettle that catches the rain. Whatever the hell that means. I'm a kid from Texas about 19 years old whose incoherent ramblings occasionally resemble something profound. Occasionally. more..
