Truth

Truth

A Poem by SypherDostravius

The least they ever gave you

Was the most you’ve ever seen

There’s no point in screaming

No one’s listening anyway

The only reason your mother

Loves your father

Is because she has no where to go

And you wonder where your dreams go

When the world bears down on you.

You painted up your secrets

To protect them from your lies.

You know I can see through you

No one’s changing anyway.

Your naked inside your shell

Hiding from your fears.

I’m disappointed in your frailties...

Sounds very similar to something somebody once told me. Actually, the essence of each pair of lines amounts to details that various people near to me have all harped upon to me, about me.

There is a small grammatical error in your third to last line, it should be "you're."

But, overall I read this with pleasant chagrin.
