Under the Covers

Under the Covers

A Poem by SypherDostravius

I’ve dreamed of nights with you

Discovering how our bodies worked

In the chill of the night

Crying as I laughed

The tickling sometimes

Too much to bear

Talking softly under the covers

As we drifted into sleep

Rolling over you lie on top

Smashing me into the pillow

Never caring because of your touch

I smiled and curled you into a ball

Holding you softly to prevent

Further rolling on me

The softness of your robe

Calms my beating heart

As I close my eyes

Morning rises

The chill touches my face

And I curl up finding you gone

More room for me...

Passionate, intense, romantic indeed.

And those ones always make me think, "Hell knoweth no fury like a romantic scorned."

"More room for me..."

Yeah.
