Romance

A Poem by Aaron
"

Came up with this on Valentines Day

"

As the sun goes below the horizon.

This wearisome day ends.

Speculating my life thus far.

Many paths I have taken.

Many paths still to come.

Many fellowships I have made.

And many more to come.

Though as the ink dries on this monograph.

My thoughts are of you.

Your crystal blue eyes.

Your cherubic lips.

The feeling of your ivory skin.

The aura of confidence you emit.

Mixed with vulnerable femininity.

Drove me into insanity.

Made me feel like I was in a dream.

For reality never felt this good.

As you are constantly on my mind.

No words can describe my feelings.

Yet I endeavor.

For my love of you goes deeper than any sea.

Hotter than any sun.

And truer than the essence of truth itself.

It's simply pure.

The way you make me feel.

The way you make my heart beat.

And how you make me feel higher than any bird that could fly.

Let every word in this poem be like notes of music.

Different, unique, but filling your soul.

Let every verse be like a kiss.

Setting your inner passions alight.

Till I see your face again.

Do not lose yourself.

Do not lose those deep blue eyes more beautiful than the sea.

Nor your smile that is brighter than any sun.

Do not allow anything to make you dim.

I finish with a kiss I cannot give.

Know that I will always be there.
