Side by side

Side by side

A Poem by What happened to simple old me?

You see: sheltered in the corner,

away from blustering winds. A blistered

feeling creeping up from the yellow, grunge

maggot toes that wiggle, like worms they

are fresh in watered soil. A damp wish-bone

and a terrified canine trampling and trapped.
