Crosses

Crosses

A Poem by What happened to simple old me?

I pray that you will wait for me. Surround my heart of pumping veins - When you kissed my forehead I felt Euphoria. Provide my twisted brain with your quick wit and intrigue each mountainous desire; I shall eternally intrigue yours. Like a cog, winding me up more than I can care to admit - every moment is a blissful taunted embrace, where I wait to conflict with tragedy. We have often forgotten the night, taken our mirthful ways and toyed with neurology. How I had my fun jesting and toying with you. I had to fall, and lay burdened on your chest. We partook in invert knights and knaves, the latter of which you believe yourself to be. I have found a middle ground with you, though only where I go much further. You take me into your arms, uneven, and attempt to scare me, protect me where my humour lies. And I laugh at your poor attempt to hide past photos of that lovely young relationship you had. You impatiently dwell over what I think, when I am smiling at what you had. I stir over the fact you say 'hello you', and desperately try not to begin, falling in love with you.

'Death was just a simple glance across a dim lit room And those eyes did it Those three words did it Those three words killed him And I surrender to it all Between you and me, I surrender to you .. more..
