Temperance

Temperance

A Poem by What happened to simple old me?

Tell me, where did I go wrong

again, I can barely keep

this smile to my face. I publish

dissatisfaction with much temperament

and pry commonly on the ill-wishing of

myself.

Lie to me, and keep a dose of mystique,

I shall not, any longer pretend

that I can put up and play along

with such meddlings

and wastings of my life,

for I already wish to waste away

if you'll so let it be.
