Forbidden

Forbidden

A Poem by GummyBear

Dear Forbidden One

Oh love, sweet love,
Our love was restricted.
You, as my personal Romeo.
And I, being locked away,
As your love, your Juliet.
We've been torn, dear one.
For there was no approval
From those who matter most;
Yet, if placed between us,
Mattered least.

You see Forbidden One,
They discovered us.
The nights of us together;
Separated by just a balcony.
And discovery of us took my hope.

In the heat of their fiery anger,
I was taken away,
And told to forget you.
But my love, though banned,
Still lives.
Pumping away, in my heart,
My heart of which you own.

But it's weakened, Forbidden One.
My being aches for you.
I miss being your Juliet,
Full of youthful innocence.
I yearn for your touch,
A kind touch, a boys touch.
Rather then the roughness,
The harshness, of a mans.
The touch I've grown used to.

Because, Forbidden One,
When they took you away,
I never had the chance.
The chance to ask, to beg,
That you return my heart.
So that maybe, hopefully,
I could wait for you,
And remain as your Juliet.
Innocent and sweet, true.

But my heart has been gone,
Along with the Juliet you knew.
Her mind and desire now corrupted.
Taken away by lustful wants.
Without her heart, and you in it,
She died, yet rose in a rebellion.

I, as your Juliet am lost,
Forbidden Romeo,
To the evils around me.
So that all I know now,
Is nothing.
Everything, who I was,
Who I am,
It has all been forgotten.

But I never forgot you,
Dear Romeo.
I merely forgot how it felt
To love, and be loved.
The memories, sweet,
Sweet memories
Of my innocence with you,
Are now placed in a box
And labeled FORBIDDEN.

But, Forbidden one, I ask only this,
Remember your Juliet.
Because that's who I am.
Remember, so that I may hope,
That should I see you again,
You can remind me of her.
You can remind me of us.
With love,
The remains of your Juliet

Again, another amazing piece. O_o How tragic that Juliet was met with an unfortunate event, without the question of true love answered to her being, her soul, her heart! THE ANGUISH! AUUUUUGH! Her world met in disaster, surrounded by darkness, still searching for her Romeo. Romeo, Romeo, where art thou' Romeo?! Dx IT IS FORBIDDEN!!!

Well written. I love the melancholy take on such a well-known classic.
