404

A Poem by T.S. Ulmus
"

"insecure" was on purpose.

"
I tried my best to find love.
"404 file not found"
So I tried the same thing again.
"This site has been deleted or removed"
There must be another search engine.
"You are about to enter an insecure site,
Would you like to continue?"
D****t... (Click yes)
"The moderator has decided your content
Is completely unacceptable."
There's always another site.
Ahh! Blue screen of death!
Unplugged and replugged my router.
A lot of people must be searching,
you'd think there'd be a decent page.
"Please enter your credit card number
Your social security number
And a photo of your ID"
I want to lap at the fountain
of love and acceptance.
"You will be contacted by a rep
in two to seven weeks
Meanwhile,
you should buy goldfish or something."

Well, I have always been wary of technology and our fixation of fixating on online veneers that usually crumble at the first sniff of reality, but I do feel sorry for the younger generation that have known nothing else and see this as reality.
I swear, we're about three more updates away from people just walking up to us and physically swiping our faces left or right.
When I was younger and lost a passport, all I had to do was go to the post office with some paper ID, I dread to think what I'd need now., probably replacement fingers and an eye transplant.
Good luck passing their security checks if and when they get back to you.

Better off searching for something else.

About
I try to swerve into a curve that's not rutted by the thoughts of others while clearing the obstacles of the mundane. I like receiving read requests for poetry, but... ya know, good stuff. more..
