Battered in the name of Love

Battered in the name of Love

A Poem by TTBoy28

Roam inside my head

and head toward my heart

Pieces shatter

as tears are held back

Colorful rainbows

of painful reflections

Youth mugged of innocence

blind-sided by fists and

buckles and tortured boisterous

souls

Even down below they beg

They plead for it to stop

Yet the stars shine so bright

and brighter as the drums get beaten

I love the wordplay of "roam inside my head/ and head toward my heart". Also, just a suggestion, you may want to take the 'so' out of your second to last line to make it flow~write on!
