In the White Room

In the White Room

A Poem by TTBoy28

In the White room

I am the King

My voice listens only to me

It does respond

And like candy

I am cheered up

The rainbows glow brightly

If ever I do go lightly

They move along with the white coats

Nobody ever asks me for my votes

Still, my candy

Makes me randy

I try to tidy up

But they remove my cup

The doors open and close

Each time the scent of rose

The clock floats on the wall

The cross never does fall

This is my room

And I don’t need a broom

I can give myself a facelift

While I watch the sand in the corner sift

Then I turn upside down

And blind myself with my nightgown

Everything I need is right here

But the angels enter with fear

They never knock when they come in

Makes me feel like that is a sin

What will they do when my ride comes?

I can get tired of the hums
